GATM Activists are sticker tagging street signs, lamp posts, gas stations and any place that gets high foot traffic to help bring the voices of small farmers to streets around the world.
From Cape Town to Zurich and Copenhagen to Sao Paolo, volunteer Graze Against The Machine activists are sticker-tagging street signs, lamp posts, gas stations and any place that gets high foot traffic to help bring the voices of small farmers to streets around the world.
Big Ag companies continue to spread misinformation about farming. They have hijacked the true meaning of sustainable and organic farming and are now setting their sights on regenerative farming. The CEO of Bayer, producer of Round-Up, an herbicide proven to cause cancer (non-hodgkins lymphoma), recently proclaimed “Our portfolio will deliver future innovations with regenerative agriculture at the core…”. Bayer is interested in profits, not in promoting indigenous practices that form the basis of regenerative farming that can truly make a difference to climate and natures biodiversity.
The campaign is also directed at the government entities that support farm policies that favor big corporation interests instead of small and under-served farms that are trying to do the right thing to support their local community and the environment.
A grassroots movements like Graze Against The Machine is one way small farms can compete with Big Ag's deception. Farmers need help combating the big budget misinformation marketing of Big Ag. Graze Against The Machine activists are helping by getting the word out were grassroots movements begin, in our streets. So far we have distributed 2000 stickers and the movement continues to grow.
Our first sticker design is a bit edgy, designed to be edgy and illicit strong emotion. Many of our founding activists love it's message and it continues to be a favorite in our community. Our activists love the the street art they see all over the world, art that often adds vibrant colors to an otherwise bleak urban environments. Our 2nd generation sticker is an artistic representation by Farmer Mike of an endangered Pineywoods bull named Rocky at his farm Ozark Akerz Regenerative Farm in North Carolina, USA. Rocky is standing in a forested landscape, 78% of Rocky's farm is forest.. Rocky represents the collective voices and strength of farmers and activists in the GATM movement and how they are shining light on the bullshit that Big Ag is feeding us. The QR code on the stickers directs people to this website.
